lyrics
Rest your throne, put to sleep the dying moans
of children slaughtered, of children drawn,
and quartered in spirits, to mental drones.
As slaves we think, maybe we are
Slaves to voices in our conscience
Slaves to be freed from inside,
Inside the stages of pretense stages.
Peasant futures, debts are owed,
Lives are taken, no coin bestowed.
As abstract concepts muddle thoughts,
Where does one freeze, when does on thaw?
Diverge yourself from what you are
Transcend the virtues of present tenses
Let us not reopen scars
Let us not find our men, lands and titles as the same
Your mind as a prisoner
knows not how a prison errs
To justify one's murders
To find life's unseen borders

If this came through your feed, you're probably like "Way to go dumbass... You didn't have this shit already??" 😂🤣
I'll have you know I am buying this album once again (for like, what? the 4th time??) to pick up the new sick "sea blue gel" vinyl variant of this modern classic. Jfc Earache Records still knows how to grab my money, even after all these years haha. Have a feeling "Hiss" will be near the top of my Albums of the Decade list when all is said and done. What an absolute masterpiece. bcb723

What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub

Sometimes you really gotta see a band live for it to really sink in. I didn't "get" this band till I saw them live with Brujeria. Really great set of grinding/thrashing metal. Looking forward to seeing this band get bigger/better. Bart
The stygian duo explore themes of gender dysphoria and oppressive institutions through sludgy doom with a pitch-black underbelly. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2021
A refined, yet unpredictable vision of metallic hardcore from Atlanta's Hubris Cannon, featuring elements of grind, sludge, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 9, 2022
The Alberta crushers hold tight to their rank, astral-gazing grindcore, staring down abyssal torment all the while. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 31, 2020
