lyrics
Crack your vault, rob yourself
of your wealth, live for less
won't confess, you're possessed
Prostituted ancestry, you've sold your soul
on these streets where the rain burns through
teeth and the trees fall down unseen.
From doom-ridden shores, and ambiguous skies
they set sail through salts and were carried alike
by the winds of Regression, winds of Enterprise
with yellow-tainted stomachs and gold in their hearts
Now your ghosts roam these flatlands, deep in my bones
Your presence so subtle, a time-fleeting throne.
The marrow of morals, brittle as straw
Now we breed the heir into gold-coated lungs.
These eyes now can see the weak
The weak forms of life we seek.
Don't let yourself believe
That modern life is all there is.
If this came through your feed, you're probably like "Way to go dumbass... You didn't have this shit already??" 😂🤣
I'll have you know I am buying this album once again (for like, what? the 4th time??) to pick up the new sick "sea blue gel" vinyl variant of this modern classic. Jfc Earache Records still knows how to grab my money, even after all these years haha. Have a feeling "Hiss" will be near the top of my Albums of the Decade list when all is said and done. What an absolute masterpiece. bcb723
What an impressive piece of black metal. This one-man hurricane is pure art. Sgah‘gahsowáh creates an haunting atmosphere. He puts so much soul in his music. Sælzer Bub
Sometimes you really gotta see a band live for it to really sink in. I didn't "get" this band till I saw them live with Brujeria. Really great set of grinding/thrashing metal. Looking forward to seeing this band get bigger/better. Bart
The stygian duo explore themes of gender dysphoria and oppressive institutions through sludgy doom with a pitch-black underbelly. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2021
A refined, yet unpredictable vision of metallic hardcore from Atlanta's Hubris Cannon, featuring elements of grind, sludge, and more. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 9, 2022
The Alberta crushers hold tight to their rank, astral-gazing grindcore, staring down abyssal torment all the while. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 31, 2020
